Team Leader: Yves Martin-Prével
Research focuses on public health issues related to nutrition, which are important for the development of communities. There are two main areas of analysis:
- firstly, the study of factors which influence such issues at population level
- secondly, the study of intervention strategies and necessary conditions for improving them. In concrete terms, research concentrates on the epidemiology of food insecurity (in the Sahel), the prevention of micronutrient deficiencies in populations at risk (all countries), and the dietary/nutrition transition and the epidemiology of associated non communicable diseases (in emerging countries)
